“I started designing PICC line covers because I needed one that didn't announce my diagnosis before I did.”
After nearly ten years with Lyme disease — the last two with a port, then a PICC line, while finishing her master's — Emilie built the cover she couldn't find: something that looked like it belonged to her, not to a hospital supply closet.
